What do I need to start? There are no pre-requests for this course. Even non-divers can learn the first aid skills. The Emergency First Response course teaches you confidence, self-reliance and awareness of other divers, so that you will have the ability to prepare and manage a diving accident should one occur. The Rescue Diver course cannot be taken unless you possess a valid First Aid and CPR Qualification.
The Emergency First Response course meets those requirements and provides training in CPR and emergency care. Course implements the same priorities and procedures as those used by paramedics. The course is recognised in over 80 countries and meets international First Aid standards
The course is divided into 2 parts the primary care (CPR) section and the Secondary care section.
• Rescue breathing
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Serious bleeding management
• Shock Management
• Spinal injury management
The second section comprises
• Injury Assessment
• Illness assessment
• Bandaging and splinting
