The IE is an evaluative program where you repeat what you have been doing during the IDC.
Upon completion of the IDC or OWSI, you must successfully complete the PADI Instructor Examination (IE) to become an Active Open Water Scuba Instructor. Nothing new here. Below you’ll find a typical schedule of a Koh Tao IE
Day 1:
3 pm Orientation and assignments for the next 2 days
4:30 pm General Standards and Procedures exam
( open book ) , followed by the DM Theory Exam.
Day 2:
08 : 00 am Your Confined Water presentation
5 Skills to demonstrate ( assigned during the orientation )
Lunch BREAK
15 : 00 Your Knowledge Development Presentation
Day 3:
08 : 00 am Your Open Water Presentation
Rescue Ex # 7 evaluation
Closing ceremony
